Default 80's music

A couple comments on another thread got me nostalgic for the music of my youth.

Thats right, the decade of decadence, when the girls were easy, the drugs were hard and the cars were fast. When the music didnt suck, the singers actually sang and the guitar solo RULED. The time when the only thing bigger than the hair were the stage shows. When leather and fishnet was king.

Feel free to help me out if i missed any here....

My friends and i road tripped all over the tri state area (MI, IN, OH) seeing these shows in my 72 Nova or my 78 Cougar, or my buds 69 Road runner or '85 Monte or another buds 78 Chevelle or 76 442.

This was written in the 80's and is more true now than even then...will be my theme song when i run for office!!

Yes, this group is so great they DESERVE two (and prolly more) here...the theme song to my life in the 80's and early 90's...

"I'm standing here awaiting this grand transition, Im a fool in search of wisdom and i'm on the roads to madness..." (A kick @$$ version of this tune)

RIP Janie Lane...

In the days when "I drive all night just to get back home...on this steel horse i ride...you tell the day by the bottle that you drink"

I HAD that concert T!!

and of course......MAIDEN

INdeed...one of the few concept albums that actually did well. But you have to think, that was written in 86 - 87 and holds as much or more truth today than it did even then when considering Govt and the BS we see with Corporations, Govts etc.
