70 years to get his purple heart. A local Hero.
The Review of Jones County
This guy survived the Bataan death march. He visits various highschools in the area and gives presentations on his experiences. My nephew and his classmates were VERY impressed.
It took the feds 70 years, a doctor's note, and dental records to be convinced he deserved a purple heart for what he suffered on the march.
He isn't a really big guy, but he must be tough as nails.
