4th of JULY FIREWORKS DISPLAY...
Anybody got plans to see the Fireworks shows that are going on this year ??...My sister is back in town and she wants to fight the crowds down by the Arch on the river front to watch Fireworks...I guess I'm suckered into this again this year....They have a Airshow ,that's about the only good thing coming out of this...and Steve Miller Band is playing on Saturday night.....The prices for a Beer are about seven dollars each....CRAZY......The heat indext is going to be around 105 they say here in ST.LOUIS....Not to fun to me.......

I think I am all alone again on the 4th. I may brave the crowds and drive down to Fredericksburg VA and take in the show there. I dunno though.

I have to work the night of July 4th. I don't care if I see fireworks or not. I don't like the crowds, I don't like the mosquitos and it is usually unbearably hot. I will probably go to the top floor of the hospital and look out the windows and see a few aerial displays and that's about it. I sound like a curmudgeonly old lady, don't I?

We do fireworks every year. They are legal here. My favorite shop, actually a warehouse, sent me a 50% off coupon. You are talking hours of good fun w/ the family, BBQ included. We will hit the range on Saturday Morning!

All fireworks cancelled in this area due to burn ban due to drought in south Texas.

I may head up towards Henderson (Nevada) to watch the fireworks along the Strip (fired from the tops of the casinos). Henderson is up towards the foothills so you're looking down on the casino corridor. It's getting more difficult to find areas in Henderson to view because of all the development during the housing boom. The old 2 lane road I used to park along has been turned into a 4 lane highway with curbs and No Parking signs all along it.

I may take a trip over the border and fill up my trunk and back seat like I do every year  . But thats about it.
The trick is to take a left out of the parking lot so the statie waiting to nab people bringing fireworks into MA thinks your going back into NH.

Foxwoods is doing 22,000 shells this year. Should be pretty good. I'd rather go to the Boston Pops concert which will have 20 thousand pounds of explosives with 10" shells going to 1500 feet
