I agree, I would do a "Wyatt Earp" on them---pistol applied to side of head with some force---and I don't even like kids!

If I had to draw my weapon anytime I see something I dont like, dont agree with... id be serving multiple life sentences. Unfortunately where I live, you see parents over stepping the line every day when it comes to discipline. Surely they dont compare to this situation but any sort of using anything more than a smack on the butt is completely out of line IMO. My favorite has always been the parent that holds a child in the air by one arm and beats the hell out of him/her with the free hand, then casually walks away while dragging the kid. Id like to try that on the parent and use my pickup truck over a gravel road instead.
Hell ive seen some people on here say that they would pull their firearm and/or shoot someone for merely advancing toward them during a non-physical altercation so it doesnt surprise me that some would pull an ass-hat move by pulling their firearm in this situation. You yank the hose out the idiots hand and call the police. If the child has been injured due to the high pressure then you have the police notify an ambulance. You need to keep your emotions under control in a situation like this, even though you want to stomp a mud hole in them yourself.

It doesn't surprise me what people will do. We need a mandatory pressure washer training course with certifications, a 6 mos reassessment period and limit all machines PSI with annual inspections by the Department of Household Appliances.

No.

I would call the police and start arguing with them to distract attention from the child.

WHOA!!!! I think cutting the hose would result in a wildly whipping hose with no way to turn off the pressure.

They only have pressure when you pull the trigger if you cut the hose the water just pours out like a garden hose

As protective as I am over kids ...... You damn skippy I would have pulled on her ass after and only after I knocked her ass to the ground and shoved the power washer up her anal orifice and gave her a good colon cleansing . If I ever happen upon a situation like this and the perp could not be stopped , I would have to shoot them and deal with the consequences later , Im sorry
I cant understand why witnesses stood by on this one @ least this MFer got what he deserved
I know some some backlash is coming but If I see a child in danger Im going to do whatever to stop or help

Yeah, and most of the pressure comes from the water leaving a 1" hose and going though a half millimeter tip. The ancient Romans used the same physics to power their decorative fountains.
