Agreed! They've ALWAYS been more motor and power then handling and brakes!! I hope this incarnation is much more balanced!!

recalls often happen due to the simplest mistakes or oversight. Thousands of parts in the car. Each part will a range of mfg and material tolerances. Engineers try account for each of those variations in their designs... sometimes there are unintended impacts.

Another high risk, suppliers that suddenly start to struggle financially and will cut their own supports staff or skip on tool maintenance.

The 2011-2012 manuals had lots of issues, as a Ford guy I hated to see it.. Didn't take long to get on the ball and start fixing and replacing them.
They also had a cylinder #8 issue.. Was also rectified fairly quickly.

Can't be nearly as bad as Chrysler 5.7L swallowing valves. bigger issue with 2006 than 2007, but the MDS system on extended drives appears to cause an uneven cylinder head temperature differential that on a short shutdown and restart, trashes the engine. Chrysler has not responded to the complaints.

Another example, Chrysler's engine plant changed the engine block wash, that caused the coolant to curdle on the 6.1L line. They thought they had a better product, never ran it past engineering... recall.

Never been impressed with Chrysler products.. The Viper looks amazing but compared to others in its class, it's cheaply made.

I kinda like it. I dont care for how low it sits, or the big rims.

Two key features to aid handling, which as become more important to the 'target market'.

Many long time Mustang guy/ladies are upset that the car appears to be moving from the traditional muscle car to more of a well rounded sports car.

I'll post some renderings of what some of the specialty Mustangs may look like.. Saleen, Roush, Kenny Brown and the SVT. Pretty impressive
