Hi, I got a rifle from my father when he passed away. It is a Sturm Ruger, .44 cal semi-auto with the words " Made in the 200th year of American Liberty" stamped on the barrel. It is in very good condition. Cant seam to find a site to tell me its worth. Any help would be helpful.
I am sure from what you have said the carbine is probably in excellent condition.
I do know where there is one for sale for $450.00 in excellent condition and the 200th Anniversary Model. They were made from 1961-1985. I would say that if you would choose to sell it which personally I probably would not due to the fact of where it came from? I would say the value of the carbine at $450-$550 in the market. And of course it depends on who and how bad they want one! If it is like new and in the original box then it would certainly be on the $550+ side.
While neat, the 200 year markings do not increase the value of a Ruger.
That said, I own 2. A nice Mk. I and a well used but cared for M 77 30-06. I didn't go looking for either, I just happened to aquire them. Now though I kind of look for them.
