I know the feeling. I'm an electrician and some large pieces of equipment have metric lugs for the wire but other things are sae on it. It just requires me to carry more tools.

some of the construction equipment i work on, part of its made in one country and then part of it here in this country. so many times i deal with using both metric and standard tools to work on them.

It was great for a week. All of the German co-workers I deal with were only five ours ahead of us, not six. I had until 5:00 to deal with them.

They all seem to be smarter then US workers. They leave at 5:00 PM, and turn their cell phones off! They also have no answering machines tied to their work phones. Wish I could get away with that.

I've gotten to the point in life that there is absolutely nothing work related that would require me to answer my work cell.
I no longer own my own business, I no longer run boats, and I'm no longer responsible for anything other than my day work.
If the metbalance is off, it can wait a few days. The mistake is probably (99.9%) the geologists estimate. They pretty much always overestimate the grade. That's their job.
