youd do lousy.
at a minimum an 870 or a mossy 500 with screw in chokes 28" bbl would get you thru 6 boxes of skeet and trap.
bolt action on a clay range? forgetaboutittttt.

best ammo for those of you wanting to shoot bring bird shot. bring a flat(10 boxes) #7 1/2, 8, or 9's will do. 1oz or 1 1/8oz is best.
real men can shoot 10 boxes and not feel it. its times like this where you learn the value of a well built gun. cheap gun? the bigger welt on your arm and cheek.

My son and I were at a shoot at bobski's range earlier this year. Most fun I had this year. This guy is the real deal. So is his range. You will learn more about this game in one day from bobski than you could learn in a year just shooting.
I live in the Chicagoland area so it was a 500 mi drive for me. Well worth it. My son and I will try and make this event. I told him about it and he really wants to go.
The only problem I had was I got hooked on shooting clay's. My son and I have joined a club up here and shoot at least once a week. Bobski I can actually hit the clay's now.

I'm broke though.  I may be able to find a old pump action within my budget though.
