A season on coyotes? Coyotes protected? The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture has 45 Federal Hunters who take 12,000 coyotes per year. Private Ranch professional Trappers and hunters account for another 20,000 each year. Air Craft and Federal Hunters have an expence of 32 million to control coyotes in our state.
Western states treat the coyote problem as a serious issue. Texas I believe has the largest kill per year. We here in the Rocky Mtns. must view coyotes as a major economic issue.

We either shoot enough to control them or they don't breed as fast around here. That would be a dream job to hunt them full time!
