I see Parker, Az. will be 122 degrees today. The catfish in the Colorado river will be cooked well done.

It's only 95° here in Bumfugg. The weather says the heat index is 117°. Why don't they just say it is 117°? I don't care what the temperature would be if conditions were perfect.

Yeah, yeah. But we don't need a metal detector to find our cars in the winter.

When I lived in Bullhead City 118 would have been a cool spring day. The hottest I ever saw was 132. No joke. That is the truth. My mother lived in San Diego at the time. I went to visit. It was 80. I had a coat on.

I was working in the casinos in Laughlin Nevada. The news would never report the true temp. We all believed that they were afraid it would hurt the tourism industry. But we all had thermometers. We knew the truth. I guess they thought the locals were too stupid to know any better.

In North Florida, we are getting a break in the weather. It has been raining regularly for the fist time in several years, which is moderating the temps somewhat. It is still mid 90s with near 100% humidity, but that is better than the past several Summers.

Man is it nice here! I didn't even need a jacket when I was out and about today. My neighbor is a cement mason and he works outside every day (often 12 hour days). The only problem I had was trying to sit on that hot motorcycle seat.
