My M&P Shield has pretty much relegated my Compact 9 to the safe.
Never argue with an idiot in public. People passing by won't know which one of you is the idiot.

Nice! An LGS has an A-100 in good condition. Is it worth $500?

That certainly say's a lot! I assume you're talking about a of the finest if not the finest handguns made.

Right now my 9mm is my M&P9c. I love it.

If I wanted to go slimmer / all around smaller I would go for the P938 or EMP. Have held an EMP and it fit like a glove. Loved the feel. Both guns are pretty expensive though. Not anytime soon. Plus I'm perfectly happy with my M&P9c.
Always have clean socks.

Another vote for a Kahr CM9 (with Crimson Trace laserguard).

The size allows it to just disappear in a lot of different carry locations. And the trigger is very predictable. It a SD situation, a consistent trigger pull that is always the same is very helpful.
