Trying to find a list of who offers the handgun course needed for the CCW permit, but havent been able to find it. Anyone know who offers the course?

Usually the local fish and game sights have listing or the gun clubs in the area that often host them will have a listing. Not sure about out your way though. Often times courses are taught by state police trainers they may also be an outlet for info.

Alaska did away with the ccw permit a long time ago. So not many classes are offered anymore. I spent big bucks to take the class and paid for back ground checks and finger printing. A month later they did away with it. I was told they did not even need my paper work sent in. If you are of legal age and no felon record you can carry concealed, no questions asked.

CCW permit is not needed in Alaska. If you are of legal age, no felon record you can carry no questions asked.

You will need an Alaska CCW if you want to travel to other states. The NRA can give you the contacts for Certified Inst. in your state.
