Default This week is the 150 year anniversary of the battle of shiloh.

More than 24,000 troops were killed over the two day battle.

There is a re~enactment with 50,000 directly envolved and 120,000 people going to watch. You yankees still think the war is over? ? :-):-):-)

Heard someone say at work yesterday that "there was only one army to scare the hell out of the united states military, and that was the confederate army".

It kinda makes since if you look at the death tolls and directly compare the two side, the confederates were running the union army ragged early on,but the south lacked the infrastructure for sustained war fighting and lost through attrition.

I've been to that battlefield many times and have hiked almost all of the different trails (even the confederate approach). I guess my dad is not taking the scout troop to there this year.

How does this come close to history or shiloh battlefield? You are getting off to a confusing start for me with your first post.
