I remember hearing that before, I always thought that is weird to have these cross country explorers equipped with an air gun. I guess it came in handy though.

This is a pretty interesting thread. Is the barrel on your air cane rifled?

I am quite looking forward to this.

How hard will ammo acquisition be?

And thanks for introducing this, I thought I'd seen everything, but this is new ground indeed....

Anybody else remembering that thread with dude taking hogs and deer with a LARGE pre-charged pneumatic rifle? I like it.

I'm not sure if this one was it, but there was a thread a while back about hunting with air guns. Someone mentioned they made a .50 cal for hunting deer. I think that would be cool to try.

Go to airgundepot.com and I want to say they have some big bore air rifles that have been used to take deer.

Picture 3 is the charging port and by inserting a square drive key ( Which I will have to make ) and turning 180 degrees sets the firing pin.

Picture 4 shows a recessed button which pops when the firing pin is set, this is effectively the trigger.

Picture 5 is the breach and shows the firing pin.

Picture 6 is the charging port and air release mechanism.

Picture 7 is just a hole through the handle and I assume this was for a leather carrying strap.

Picture 8 shows the air reservoir and charging port

On top of the air reservoir is a screw off dome cap. This just leaves the exposed threads and was almost certainly for a screw on stock. Sadly I don't have this. The little bumps on the length of the gun are to make it look more like a wooden stick.

Thanks for that Rocs have already looked through the site. Sadly nothing that resembles mine. Seems to be a bit of a one off.
