This man held many titles including lawman, scout, soldier, hired gunman, detective, outlaw and assassin. He was known for shooting cattle rustlers and sheepherders at long distances using a sharps rifle. He was eventually hung for a murder he may have never commited.

Tom Horn. He help Charles Gatewood track down Geronimo. One of the first guys to use "modern" smokeless powder with a Winchester '94 30/30. He broke jail one just before he was hanged, he grabbed a "new" German made semi auto pistol as he escaped, but was captured because he couldn't figure out how to get the safety off. About 1903.

Didn't have to quote wiki that time. I just like the old western types.

My door lock guy showed up, couldn't post another sniper. I'll find a good one now.

I propose another rule bendage. Does it have to be a sniper or just someone world renown for shooting?

Is that major Reno or General Custer?

Billy Dixon (though, he does bear an resemblance to both Custer and Reno (more towards Custer))

He scouted on the Texas Panhandle for the Army, hunted buffalo for train companies, and defended the town of Adobe Walls against an indian attack. He is one of only eight citizens to ever recieve a Medal of Honor. He died of pneumonia in 1913. (Thanks to wikipedia for the info)

I like the idea of the rules including people renound for shooting.

History of the Sniper Game - History

This USMC sniper has 103 confirmed kills, and 216 probable kills during his 16 months of service in Vietnam. His weapons of choice included a M14, and M40-A1.
