Default Heros

How many of you really know anything about two of the greatest heroes of WW2??

General Matt Ridgway

Admiral Ray Spruance.

They don't get much press today, but they were really instrumental in winning WW2.

Google them and read a few of the articles. You may, like me, be amazed at how much you didn't know.

I didn't fight to defend your freedom so you could vote to take away mine.

IMHO, that was "the greatest" generation, and everyone who served and fought in WWII was a hero.

To just single out one, Audy Murphy stands out in my memory.
I think, therefore I am...

"There are no extraordinary men, just extraordinary circumstances that ordinary men are forced to deal with."
Admiral Halsey

The men that rise to meet these extraordinary circumstances are known as heroes.
