Yeah. I "liked" and support this post.
What good is having the best trained, deadliest troops in the world if we put them on the field and tie one hand behind their back?

Huh.
How about that?
Just when I thought my vote could not be cast for any stronger a position, you go and one up yourself.

Sustained combat by freak radical groups is a fairly new thing, the convention was not envisioned to combat or minimize war crimes by warfighters with no flag or nation. We had our first real taste of that in Vietnam with gorilla tactics by unidentifiable combatants.
Wars that were between governments were thought to have been made more fair by the Geneva Convention, I dont think that truly ever happened. Just like Crooks dont follow laws, most nations fight wars to win without respect to rules. We followed the GC better than most but now its being used as a boa constrictor around our Service Members necks.
Wearing the enemies uniform to infiltrate is one of the most effective tactics Alquida and Taliwhackers have been using and I believe that was banned by the GC's. Obviously, if they arent following any of the rules and were following rules that dont even apply, were kinda screwed!
