Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

I didn't take modern math. But by the old school math it would be about .48 cents per round. This would be $48.00 per 100 or $24.00 per box of 50. You will have freight on this which will increase the cost as well.

By your numbers it would be $1,000 per case. That would be well

I like all kinds of old firearms. My favorites are the Southern Mtn Rifles. They were not all X-mas trees like the Ky Rifles. The Southern Mtn Rifles were not all "Poor Boys" [A modern term]. This is a Rifle and Pistol made for me by Steve Zihn .54 caliber flinters. The "Rock" guns will transport you to another time

Ya know, if I had to choose one I think I might go with our .30-40 Krag-Jorgensen.

It is graceful, buttery-smooth bolt, was our FIRST bolt action main battle rifle, our first main smokeless powder arm, first main .30 caliber, and was really designed as a single shot rifle that COULD be fired as a repeater when need be as strategy and tactics transitioned. Even the bayonets are sweet...

More like $0.48 per round. (edit* DK beat me to the math) Buddy of mine's grandpa in law has one, BEAUTIFUL lil rifle. It's like a classier version of an SKS with blunter ammo & drop mags.

50 caliber Mark 7 gun.

You can't even find ammunition for it.

I heard a tidbit that John Garand was actually hired by the u.s army to translate French designs for a semi auto to English. Garand also incorporated the Mauser style clip. The rifle was originally going to be a .280 caliber but the depression came around so the u.s put 30-06 in the rifle. Also if you look at a Garand trigger system and an at 15 they look very similar. And finally, the AK and AR both use Garand safeties.
