I ordered a couple of mags for my LR-308 last night, they were steel but $50 each.
Same mags on GB were going for $80-90 each. If you want to stop the hysteria, you have to quit buying. Do that and the price comes down. It took me hours upon hours to find something in stock somewhat reasonable. My favorite gun and I thought I had extra mags for it. Actually thought my FAL mags would fit but they don't, my bad. I only used one mag when I took it to the range

Actually, I have sent emails and made phone calls. I have had some rather lengthy conversations with multiple liberal poloticians and while I have not gotten much in the way of change I have help stop new restrictive gun laws.

I live 90 miles from the show so by the time I got in the door it cost $25 for gas (round trip) $22 for parking and entry just to see over priced weapons, beef jerky tee shirts, pocket books etc, etc, Just not worth it any more.

I admit gun shows are fun and you get to see some cool things, but lately there so crowded you can hardly walk around in there. Local shows aren't too costly, $7.

guns shows are like watching the same movie over and over on big screen.
when the movie first comes out, everyone runs to see it.
then you hear your buddy hasnt seen it, so you go with him.
then you are driving in another town and your wife says, lets see that movie.
you come home. the movie is advertsied in the paper with coupons. so you go because you get a buck off.
now the kids want to see it.

by now, youre sick of the movie, but you go anyway.
you realize the people you bring are seeing it for the first time and youre happy for them, but you find yourself really going just to see whos in the audience and try to i.d. some of the same people returning who are trapped like you.
or, you go to see who has the best deal on peanuts and candy.

THATS A GUN SHOW.

I have been a gun show addict for 50 years. My problem is they are very market driven these days. Back in the days Gun Shows included gun rights conferences and brought in Pro Gun officials to meet gun owners. They made a profit and supported a pro gun posture.
It just seems vendors are "Grababuck" now and ignore the movement that allows them to make gun profits.
